Art Foundry in Houston Now Open for Artists

Betz Art Foundry is located in the Summer Street Studios Warehouse, part of Houston’s historic art district. It is the perfect blend of a high tech foundry with an artist’s attention to craftsmanship.
Sculpture artist Lori Betz wanted the foundry to be the kind of place where she would like to have her work brought to life. Partnering with renowned foundry master Miguel Macias, who has 25 years of experience in the bronze casting industry.
“Because we know what artists need, we provide each of our clients the support, skills and facilities to cast, fabricate and finish each project to the highest quality,” said foundry owner Betz. As most sculpture artists know, the casting process can make or break the process. We are well aware of this and work with each of our artists to make sure they are happy with every mold and pour of their sculpture.
Regardless of the projects complexity we are able to cast statues of any size, including life sized bronze sculptures. We work within your budget and always with the greatest care and attention to detail.
Our foundry services include:
Mold Making: The process by which a mold is cast so that a sculpture can be created.
Lost Wax Casting: During this process is where you will see the difference. Each of our castings is done to the finest detail.
Bronze Patination or Distressing: We have a full line of patina tints to insure that each sculpture achieves the right effect.
Project Consultation and Custom Sculpture: Our artists are available to consult on any project or custom work.
